Lost!
'Peep! Peep! Peep! ' Poor little chick!
Little cry so weak and small,
Meadow grass so tall and thick,
And the clover tufts so tall!
Little heart in sore distress,
Longing for the mother wing;
Through the weedy wilderness
Searching for its sheltering!
